The Union Coordinating Committee called for a general strike to be held at all public institutions and public schools on Tuesday 20th and Monday 26th of October, as well as Wednesday 4th of November.
The UCC noted "the ruling class has been illegitimately obstructing the work of the constitutional institutions," pointing out that the people have witnessed the failure of dialogue among deputies.
The committee added that a small corrupt entity in Lebanon is being covered by a greater system, while the ruling class continues to turn a blind eye, stressing that corruption within state institutions has reached unprecedented levels.
