Lebanon receives official invitation to Syria talks in Vienna

The Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that Lebanon is invited to partake in talks in Vienna to discuss the ongoing conflict in Syria.

A ministry spokesperson said that Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil has been officially invited to attend the talks in Vienna on Friday.

Iran has also been invited to participate for the first time in talks over Syria's fate, as the U.S. and its allies seek to stop the four-year civil war.
