Two men were robbed on Friday at gunpoint in Harit Hreik as they were carrying large sums of money in their vehicle.
A tinted Nissan Murano and BMW X5 without plate numbers blocked Hussein Mohammad Srour and Ali Mostafa Srour’s Mercedes as gunmen stole their red bag carrying $ 254,000 and €60,000.
“The gunmen did not hurt either of us nor did they attempt to steal the car in which we were transferring the money”, the victims said, adding the gunmen left behind one bag carrying $ 216,000, €10,000 and 2,300 SFr.
The National News Agency said that the money transferor’s’ moves must have been closely monitored.
