The Lebanese University graduation ceremony sparks new conflict
The Lebanese University’s Administration made a mistake when it decided to cancel the students’ elections in an effort to exempt the university from political and sectarian conflicts.

The Faculty of Media’s graduation ceremony started a debate between the university’s administration and the Lebanese Forces student’s council.

The LF students called for boycotting the ceremony since it will take place at the Lebanese University campus in Hadath, considering that this would menace the Christian presence at the public university. In fact, the details of the story go far beyond the alcohol issue and the LF’s organizational details.

However, these objections do not seem to disrupt the course of the ceremony. The University’s administration confirms that the graduation will take place in Hadath at the end of the month of May, especially that six years have gone by without organizing a graduation ceremony, for political an organizational reasons.
The date is set, at the end of the month. Will a simple graduation ceremony for six promotions of students lead to a new sectarian battle that would exhaust the university’s body?
