Government shuts down sand and rock quarries in Keserwen, Jbeil

Internal Security Forces belonging to the district of Jounieh have implemented on Friday dawn the decision taken by the Ministry of Interior to permanently close down the sand and rock quarries found in rural Keserwan and Jbeil.

All machinery has also been removed and banned from performing further tasks.

The ISF has also deployed several security forces to patrol the area surrounding the quarries to ensure that the decision not be breached.
