Berri: Israel will devise strategies to deprive Lebanon of oil resources

Speaker Nabih Berri said that Israel will continue devising strategies to deprive Lebanon, Palestine and other countries of their oil and gas resources, on Saturday.

“Some Lebanese parties neither want to defend their nation nor regain a political, national or strategic conscience”, Berri said, adding that the Lebanese have the right to invest in the natural maritime wealth.

“Israel will always do everything in its power to destabilize Lebanon and cut the lines of communication that connect the Lebanese to each other”, Berri said.

Berri added that Lebanon, without the help of external enemies, will destroy itself thanks to its reluctance to change the status-quo.
