Kenaan to LBC: We will appeal Karam’s case
Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan told Nharkom Said TV show that the verdict issued against Col. Fayez Karam is a sham that targets every citizens as well as the Lebanese judicial system, adding that it is not the final verdict.

“We will appeal the case again”, Kanaan said. Kanaan added that the Lebanese intelligence and judiciary system have the double duty of investigating the case and checking whether the tape recordings were truly destroyed or not.

Speaking on legislative issues, Kannaa said that the law of accreditation will be examined before the cabinet convenes on September 7 to look into the electricity plan, adding that the ministries, rather than the funds, should be able to control the spending process.

“Funding the Special tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is an issue that will be tabled by the cabinet”, Kanaan said, adding that the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) endorses just and fair STL trials.
