Rahme to LBC: Aoun is unwilling to bring down the cabinet
Change and Reform MP Emile Rahme said Wednesday that the electricity draft law is in the limelight now for it makes the political headlines in Lebanon, adding that there is no dispute among ministers on the plan, yet they are not unified in their actions.

“Change and Reform Leader Michel Aoun is a veteran politician that does not turn his back on anyone who has lent support, and he is unwilling to bring down the government”, Rahme told Nharkom Said tv show, adding that Aoun’s statement, following his party meeting Tuesday, is very clear and serves the country’s interests.

Given that the decision to dissolve the cabinet should be the result of a closed door meeting between the ministers, Rahme stressed that El Marada leader MP Sleiman Frangieh is allied with Aoun and will not disagree with him.

Asked on a possible reaction from the Change and Reform ministers should their plan not be endorsed by the cabinet during Wednesday’s session, Rahme said that the bloc might hold an extraordinary session in Rabieh to take stock of the session’s outcome.
