LAF withdraws from Arsal’s Khirbit Daoud
LBCI learned on Wednesday that the LAF withdrew from Arsal’s Khirbit Daoud after deploying in rural Arsal to defuse border tension.

Earlier in the day, exclusive sources told LBCI that citizen Mohammad Hassan Hamid was killed and 3 others were injured on Wednesday as Syrian army troops infiltrated into the town of Arsal in the Bekaa, adding that the Syrian forces transferred the corpse of the deceased to Syria. Consequently, armed clashes erupted between the town's residents and the Syrian army in the rural area of Arsal.

Among the injured, Khatib al-Hujairi aka “Tannous” who was rushed to a hospital in Baalbek for treatment at a time when the Syrian forces detained the corpse of the deceased and confiscated the truck they were driving.

Exclusive sources told LBCI that Syria will hand over the corpse of Mohammad Hassan Hamid killed in Arsal to Lebanese authorities.

Security sources said that the perpetrators are most probably smugglers trying to smuggle diesel oil.
Arsal’s residents rallied in the town’s streets in condemnation of the incident, and called on the state and the LAF to protect them.

Consequently the LAF deployed forces in rural Arsal as residents dissipated.
