Qabalan summons Turkish ambassador over potential kidnappers’ photos
The Higher Islamic Shiite Council called for upholding self-restraint and silence over the issue of the Lebanese men abducted in Syria in order to reach a happy ending.

In a statement following a meeting held between the head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council and the abductees’ families on Wednesday, the council called on Turkey to intensify its efforts to release the Lebanese abductees.

Sources told LBCI that Sheikh Qabalan has summoned the Turkish ambassador  to discuss newly emerged photos that possibly belong to the kidnappers.

LBCI also learned that Turkish authorities contacted PM Najib Mikati, calling for maintaining calm and confirming that they have taken the issue upon themselves.
