After over 1 year and 7 months, the dialogue table is back without Hariri and Geagea

Dialogue sessions will be resumed tomorrow, Monday, at the Baabda Presidential Palace after a long absence that lasted more than one year and 7 months.

President Michel Suleiman was informed that former PM Saad Hariri will be absent and that Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea will boycott the sessions.

Suleiman will address the participants tomorrow calling for settling the issue of weapons spread inside cities and out and for covering the plans of LAF and security forces. Suleiman will also call for discussion the Resistance’s weapons and the Palestinian weapons.

For his part, PM Najib Mikati will make a speech, stressing his government’s commitment to implement all the decisions agreed upon by the participants.

As for the fate of the government, it is not an item on the dialogue’s agenda even though March 14 called for its departure and for the formation of an impartial rescue government.
