The media department of the Lebanese Forces issued Saturday the following statement:
“As the court session dedicated to issuing a verdict in the lawsuit filed against Pierre El Daher concerning LBC approaches and after the defendant has exhausted all the means of procrastination over more than 10 years, here he comes desperately resorting to the media platforms, especially the media outlet he forcibly got his hands on, in a bid to twist the facts by misinterpreting them, in an attempt to anticipate the court’s verdict and to affect the public opinion.”
The statement added that “the Lebanese Forces’ trust in the court is firm.”
“We are aware that these twisted methods are far from affecting us and the public opinion, whose trust in the Lebanese Forces was confirmed in the recent parliamentary elections. In any case, the Lebanese Forces party will resort to the judiciary to put an end to this media farce, which has showed the fear that overcomes the suspect in the moment of truth.”
