Mikati: Security is the key to a thriving economy

PM Najib Mikati confirmed on Thursday that security inaction in Lebanon will not be tolerated, adding that security is the key to a thriving economy.

Addressing economic committees, Mikati confirmed that the economic situation is “good” adding that the budget deficit has decreased in comparison to previous years.

“The flow at the Hariri International Airport is better than last year”, he said.

Mikati pointed out that Wednesday’s cabinet session agreed on approving the draft budget without extra expenses and revenues.
