Introduction to the evening news 30-06-2012
For the first time since the independence, the power in Egypt is transferred to a civil president. Mohammad Morsi stated positions confirming Egypt’s determination to take back its regional role.

Morsi declared his support for the Palestinian people, stressing at the same time that Egypt respects its international treaties, referring to the peace treaty with Israel. He added that Egypt has no intention on “exporting its revolution”, noting that he supports the Syrian people, urging to stop the bloodshed in Syria.
The Syrian crisis was also the focus of Geneva meeting for the action group on Syria, amid agreement over the need to have a political transitional stage in Syria and dispute over President Bashar Assad’s role in it.

The beginning will neither be from Egypt, nor from Geneva, but from Beirut, Dahiyeh, Sidon, Tripoli and Bekaa. We will witness the fact that “the fires surrounding us will not burn our country”, that blocking the roads will not paralyze the citizens’ lives and that there are no terrorist islands on the borders.
