Aoun: No one can impose “erroneous” decisions on us

Change and Reform bloc leader, MP Michel Aoun, confirmed on Tuesday that no one can impose “erroneous” decisions on his bloc.

“Energy Minister Gebran Bassil has done his best to settle the issue of EDL contract workers”, he stressed following his bloc's weekly meeting.

Aoun added that the draft law to grant tenure to EDL contract workers could not be considered as a “law”, noting that each company has its own regulations and laws that should be respected.

Aoun said that Speaker Nabih Berri should get down from his pedestal and occupy the seat of an MP in case he wants to state his opinion.

Commenting on his bloc's boycott of the cabinet session, Aoun confirmed "we boycotted the session since it has put forth a draft law that it failed to defend."

In his concluding remarks, Aoun said "the Resistance option is a national choice and a necessity to defend Lebanon, its borders and interests. It should be kept in its context".
