Hbeish to LBCI: we refuse attacks against LAF and road blocks
MP Hadi Hbeish confirmed that Akkar’s roads are not cut off completely adding that there are alternative routes for citizens to commute on. Stressing that the country must not forget that two men of religion were killed by the LAF, he said that the release of involved officers is not acceptable.

In an interview with LBCI’s "Nharkom Said" Hbeish said that the only thing required is justice, pointing out that the movement instigated by the people of Akkar was triggered by the military courts failure to respond to the demands of the people. On the other hand, he expressed his refusal of any attacks against the Lebanese Army, stressing the lack of a political cover for any person who trespasses against anyone or cuts off roads.

Hbeish demanded that the judiciary take its course in the case of slain Sheikh Ahmad Abdul Wahid and his companion, and punish those responsible for this crime.

Abdul Wahid and his companion Sheikh Mohammad al-Mereb were killed after failing after failing to stop at the LAF checkpoint in Kwaykhat.
