Hnein to LBC: Rai’s positions contravene his initial speech

Former MP Salah Hnein said Tuesday that the Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai’s positions contravene both the speech he delivered on his election day and Bkerke’s first call that urged the withdrawal of Syrian troop from Lebanon.

Hnein told Nharkom Said TV show that “it is wrong to tie the Christian presence in the Middle East with circumstantial events and dictatorial regimes,” calling on Rai to adopt a clear position in line with the values “we believe in” and which ensure the peoples’ rights and freedoms.
