Footage exposes Lebanese resorts’ racist acts

Despite the Ministry of Tourism’s decision that calls for the strict implementation of circular No. 5, a significant number of beach resorts are still applying discriminative entry rules.

The ministry’s general directorate issued a circular on April 25, calling for allowing all beachgoers access to resorts regardless of their skin color, nationality or special needs.

However, the majority of beach resorts now allow access to foreign domestic workers provided that they do not swim in the pool.

In this context, the Anti-Racism Movement circulated videos proving the resorts’ failure to abide by the relevant circular.
