Sleiman calls for electoral reforms on law

On Monday, Lebanese President Michel Sleiman expressed his relief for the way Sunday’s Koura elections were conducted, describing them as civil, democratic and respectful of both the government’s authority and constitution.

Sleiman lauded procedures taken by the LAF and ISF in maintaining order and calm for voting citizens.

In his concluding remarks, he called for necessary reforms to be made on the election law alongside apt preparations for the 2013 elections.
