Dib denies through LBCI that FPM ordered street protests
Change and Reform bloc MP Hikmat Dib denied on Wednesday that roads were being blocked in line with the party 's decision, explaining that the FPM has nothing to do with the recent Sarba protest.

In a statement to Nharkom Said TV show, Dib confirmed that the protesters blocked the Sarba road “spontaneously”, adding that the people should not be prevented from expressing their indignation.

Commenting on the Kweikhat incident, Dib explained that the cabinet did not agree to the expansion of the relevant investigations but was rather informed by the judiciary on the matter.

Dib called for depoliticizing the issue and allowing the judiciary to handle it.

“The justice minister does not have the authority to follow up on the investigation”, he stressed.
