Al-Houjayri calls for withdrawing Syrian ambassador from Lebanon

The head of Arsal municipality Ali al-Houjayri called on President Michel Sleiman and LAF Commander Jean Kahwaji on Saturday to assume their responsibility towards the region’s residents, protect them from attacks and provide assistance to those affected, “similarly to what is happening in other regions and in the capital.”

In a press conference held in the presence of a number of residents whose houses were damaged in Mashari al-Qaa due to incidents along the Lebanese-Syrian border, Houjayri called for the withdrawal of the Syrian ambassador from Lebanon.

For his part, one of the area’s residents told the story of what he considered to be “Syrian army’s attacks against the residents”.
