Beirut airport security halts heroin smuggling attempt

Eight Kilograms of heroin were caught in the suitcase of A.Z. (Lebanese national) Saturday as he attempted to smuggle the narcotic from Rafik Hariri International Airport to Belgium.

Airport security members were able to detect the heroin, hidden at the bottom of a dual compartment suitcase.

The culprit was put under arrest as investigations into the matter continued.
