South Lebanon tops Israel’s military agenda
The northern border with Lebanon returned to the top of the Israeli agenda, categorizing the country as a “future battle field”.

Security and military officials confirmed that Hezbollah has turned the area into an Iranian first line of defense while Israeli media outlets considered reports on Hezbollah’s drills as a clear sign of the party’s preparation for a looming war.

The Israelis expect that Lebanon’s domestic incidents will contribute to a security escalation that would end up at war with Israel in the event of the fall of the Syrian regime.

Israel’s threats have reached their peak when former Israeli defense minister Moshe Arens said that Israel should attack south Lebanon before a Western attack on Iran’s nuclear installations.
