Introduction to the evening news 29-08-2012

Wissam Alaeddine is officially a member of the Resistance Brigades (Saraya al-Moqawama), but technically, he is one of the suspects in the case of attacking the building of al-Jadeed TV on 25th of July. After two months and four days, Wissam Alaeddine is released on two million LBP bail, following a decision issued by Judge Nada Dakroub. The suspect spent less than two months at the hospital and ten days at Roumieh prison.            

During the afternoon, the area of Zqak Blat witnessed heavy celebratory gunfire over the release of Alaeddine. This is how an attempt to burn a TV station ends with a 2 million LBP bail and celebratory gunfire without chasing the shooters.                 

Meanwhile, the cabinet is convening, with two main issues on top of the discussions, chief among which the raise for the public sector that will be granted starting September.          

On the Syrian level many developments marked the day. First, the issue of establishing a buffer zone became serious, even if the complications were major. Second, a Lebanese movement calls for the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador from Lebanon.
