Extension of UNIFIL’s stay on the Security Council’s agenda
The Security Council will be discussing on Thursday a French draft resolution to extend the UNFIL’s stay for one year (till August 31st 2013). The draft reiterates the necessity to stop the hostile acts and any violation against the Blue Line. It also stresses on declaring the area between the Litani River and the Blue Line as a no-weapon zone.

The draft resolution condemns as well all terrorist attacks against the UNIFIL and urges Israel to withdraw with no further deferment from the northern area of Ghajar village.
