Raad: deployment of UNIFIL forces on the Syrian Lebanese border discredits the army

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Mohammad Raad, and in response to March 14’s memo presented to President Michel Sleiman on the 4th of September, said that the group’s aim is to cover its involvement in the Syrian crisis.

Addressing one of the points in the aforementioned memorandum, Raad said that the suggestion to deploy UNIFIL forces along the Lebanese-Syrian border targets the credibility of the LAF.

He called on President Michel Sleiman to be vigilant in regards to the points in the petition, adding that they present dangers to the security of the country.
Raad also called reiterated his call to local authorities and national figures.
