Sleiman heads UNSC session on preventative diplomacy

President Michel Sleiman chaired a high-level Security Council session on Thursday to discuss preventative diplomacy in the framework of “preserving international peace and security”.

Sleiman met with Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu to discuss bilateral relations, the UNIFIL’s role in the South and the overall situation in the Middle East.

Sleiman had a series of meetings with heads of delegations participating in the 66th session of the UN General Assembly to address means of developing bilateral relations.
