Nadim Gemayel to LBC: I did not intend to make any political statements

Kataeb bloc MP Nadim Gemayel told Nharkom Said TV that the question he posed to Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai, during the Bekerke meeting held yesterday, was not intended to make any political statements, rather to clarify Rai’s remarks pertaining to Hezbollah’s weapons.

“Bekerke has always been the cornerstone of the state; this is why the Maronite Patriarch cannot take contradictory stances as to illegitimate weapons”, Gemayel said, adding that his question to Rai addressed this aspect of his remarks.

Gemayel stressed, once again, that any electoral law loses its value in light of illegitimate weapons.
