President Aoun holds deliberations with heads of blocs on Cabinet formation

President Michel Aoun held on Tuesday deliberations with heads of parliamentary blocs on the formation of the new government at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

Aoun met with head of the Independent Center bloc MP Najib Mikati, the head of the Mountain Guarantee bloc MP Talal Arslan, the head of the Armenian bloc MP Hagop Pakradounian, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammad Raad and Development and Liberation bloc MPs Mohammad Khawaja and Ali Hassan Khalil.

This as sources told LBCI that MP Raad said to Aoun that the main Shiite parties are insisting that the Finance Ministry be retained by the Shiite sect.

For his part, Mikati told LBCI that he tackled with Aoun ways to get the country out of the crisis, adding that the Cabinet formation was not tackled.
