LAF Commander Aoun chairs meeting on Beirut port explosion

Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Joseph Aoun met on Wednesday with United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Commander Major General Stefano Del Col.

Talks reportedly tackled the current situation along Lebanon’s southern borders.

Aoun then chaired a meeting attended by state apparatuses within the scope of Beirut port, in the presence of the port’s acting director Bassem Al-Kaissi, and representative of the Customs General Directorate Mahmoud Masoud.

The meeting reviewed the ongoing efforts to remove the rubble and debris after the Beirut port’s explosion.
