Berri: The Bekaa area is not outside the law

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Monday that the Bekaa area "respects the government and the army’s authorities."

Berri who met with dignitaries representing Bekaa families, stressed that "the LAF should be deployed in this area, even if some troops had to leave the South Lebanon to do so."

Berri added that the residents of the Bekaa "fought against the Israeli enemy and the plan of partition."

"The Lebanese Army will prove that you are not outlaws, and must fully support you," he affirmed.
