Berri says parliament ready to do justice for people affected by Beirut blast

Speaker Nabih Berri voiced on Monday his readiness and the readiness of the Parliament to carry out everything necessary from the legislative point of view to do justice for the people affected by the Beirut port blast.

Berri also stressed importance of taking quick measures in order to embrace those who lost their homes before the winter season.

His comments were made during a meeting with a delegation of families of Beirut blast victims in Ain el-Tineh whereby he contacted Minister of Health Hamad Hassan and all concerned authorities to exempt the wounded from any financial burdens during their treatment period.

Berri stressed the need to address the file from a national perspective away from political disputes or divisions, adding that judicial investigations into the blast must be completed.
