Students stage demonstration in Tripoli for power outages

A number of school and university students staged a demonstration in Tripoli’s Abdul Hamid Karami Square to protest power shortges in the area.

The hoisted placards reading: “Thank you ministers for leading us to study by candlelight”.

The young protesters also called on the government to resolve the power outage issue in Tripoli.

Lebanon has been witnessing an acute electricity crisis generating several protests across the country in recent months.
