Restaurant owners to take escalatory measures, Aris resigns
President of the Restaurant Owners Syndicate in Lebanon Mr. Paul Aris held discussions with parliamentary blocks concerning the amendment of the non-smoking law. Aris said on Friday during a press conference that the syndicate will be taking escalatory measures within the upcoming days.

Aris described the law as extreme stressing that it didn't take into account the situation of touristic institutions and their employees. He also accused the non-smoking activists of receiving financial bribes from US company "Bloomberg".

The president presented his resignation from the syndicate at the end of the press conference since all the negotiations to amend the law have failed.
