Diab receives independence congratulatory cable from Erdogan

Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab received a congratulatory message on the occasion of Independence Day, from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which he said: “We congratulate you on the Independence Day, and we assure you of Turkey's keenness to develop bilateral relations and pursue cooperation between our two countries, in line with the common interests of our two peoples, in order to promote peace and stability.”

He added: “We affirm Turkey's standing by Lebanon, wishing you health and prosperity for the brotherly and friendly Lebanese people.”
