Former Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil and former Minister of Public Works Ghazi Zoeiter did not appear on Wednesday before Judge Fadi Sawwan for questioning over the Beirut blast port.

Both officials said that they had not been officially informed of the session.

This as sources told LBCI that Hassan Khalil and Zoeiter requested through their lawyers the transfer of the case from Judge Sawan to another judge due to legitimate suspicion, as stipulated in the laws.

In turn, Sawwan adjourned the questioning session until January 4.

On another note, Judge Sawwan questioned General Walid Salman, former Lebanese Army's Chief of Staff as a witness.
