Mikati arrives to Mecca after referring Hassan's decree to Judicial Council

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikti arrived on Tuesday to Mecca, after signing the decree related to the assassination of Brig. Gen. Wissam Hassan, referring it to the Judicial Council and President Michel Sleiman.

Mikati notified Justice Minister Chakib Qortbawi, stressing on the need to speed up the appointment of a forensic investigator.

Hassan was assassinated on Friday in a massive car explosion which also left his companion Sergeant Ahmad Sahyouni and civilian Georgette Sarkissian dead.
