The case of the Lebanese detainees in Syria is becoming even more complicated with a new “mystery” appearing today. Lebanese journalist Fidaa Itani was added to the list of detainees the Syrian opposition is currently “hosting”.

The Syrian rebels said via Facebook that Itani’s work no longer serves the revolution.

The post added that “Itani will only be detained for a few days to be later surrendered to the Turkish authorities or sent to his homeland.”

Even after the news was spread, the Lebanese officials did not take any step that could solve this matter.

However, this incident and clashes erupting across Syria proved that the Adha Truce in Syria failed.

In Lebanon, the Adha holidays imposed an undeclared truce between March 8 and March 14 blocs that are expected to clash through opposite statements right after the Eid.
