Ogero to Sehnaoui: Only the cabinet can amend our duties
The executive council of Ogero confirmed Friday that the committee has been carrying out tasks for the telecommunication ministry since 1975, by virtue of decrees issued by the cabinet, stressing that “these duties can only be amended at the request of the cabinet.”

In response to Telecommunication Minister Sehnaoui’s statement, the council said that Ogero was established under parliament Act 72/21. “Ogero enjoys a legal personality as well as financial and administrative independence”, the council said, adding that the said law can be amended only at the request of the parliament .

The council stressed that Ogero’s committee has deployed assiduous efforts to develop the telecommunication sector and put the most developed projects at the service of citizens.

The statement added that the telecommunication minister has not fixed yet a date for his meeting with the association council though he received the request for a meeting the day he took office. Accordingly, the executive council will resort to all legitimate means to maintain the committee’s work and the dignity.
