REPORT: Ten months later, Finance Ministry remembers Fassouh building

The Ministry of Finance approved a treasury advance as a compensation for the damages caused by the collapse of Fassouh building in Achrafieh.

The government has been absent and neglectful of the residents of this building located in Al-Motran Atallah Street, as the victims have not heard any news from the concerned authorities responsible for this issue.

These residents bitterly speak of a government that has not asked about them for months, and wonder why the cabinet remembered the incident today, with the elections drawing near.

[A six-story residential building collapsed on Sunday January 15, 2012, in Al-Motran Atallah Street, Fassouh, Achrafieh, where the final death toll was estimated to 27, while rescuers managed to free several survivors with various injuries.]
