A new tripartite meeting held in Ras al-Naqoura

A tripartite meeting was held on Thursday in Ras al-Naqoura chaired by UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Stefano Del Col and in the presence of a delegation of the Lebanese Armed Forces officers headed by the the Lebanese government’s commissioner before the UN forces, Brigadier General Hassib Abdo.

The meeting tackled the latest incidents that took place along the Blue Line with the Lebanese side condemning the recent Israeli targeting of unarmed civilians which led to the death of Muhammad Tahan.

It also condemned Israel's continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea and air, and reaffirmed its commitment to United Nations resolutions, especially Resolution 1701 with all its inclusions.

The Lebanese side also stressed on the necessity of the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from all the occupied territories, mainly: the area adjacent to the north of the Blue Line, the Shebaa Farms, the Kfar Shuba Hills, the northern section in the Ghajar area, and the occupied B1 area. It also referred to the continued Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, to which 17 new breaches were recently added.
