General Prosecution launches investigations in the falsified medicines' case

The Cassation General Prosecution launched investigations on Saturday in the case of the falsified medicines under the supervision of Cassation General Prosecutor Hatem Madi after the Beirut Arab University filed a complaint on the 12th of October 2012 and the Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil issued a decision to withdraw several medicines previously certified by the ministry.

Earlier, Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil's media bureau issued a statement in which it clarified that the file of the falsified medicine transactions was referred to the Justice Ministry on the 12th of October 2012. The bureau adds that all circulating information contradicting this statement is false.

For his part, Justice Minister Shakib Kortbawi stressed that this case will be taken very seriously.
