MP Aoun to LBCI: Cabinet formation must not be halted over a name or portfolio

Strong Lebanon bloc MP Alain Aoun asserted on Thursday that the Cabinet formation is a process that is done in partnership between the president and the prime minister-designate.

Aoun’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that the formation process must not be halted over a ministerial portfolio.

“The current crisis is dangerous and any delay can increase the size of losses,” Aoun stressed.

Asked whether the scheduled meeting between Aoun and Mikati for today is going to be held, he said that he can not confirm such a matter.
