President Aoun meets with Mawlawi over parliamentary elections preparations
President Michel Aoun met on Thursday with Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi at the Baabda Presidential Palace. 
 
Talks reportedly tackled the security situation in the country and the preparations that the ministry is carrying out ahead of the parliamentary elections.
 
Following the meeting, Mawlawi said that nothing hinders the holding of the parliamentary elections before their due date, adding however that “this requires legislative intervention to amend some articles and deadlines.”
