Dar al-Fatwa declares October 18th Prophet’s Birthday

Dar al-Fatwa declared on Monday that the Prophet’s Birthday will be on October 18, 2021.

For his part, Lebanon's Grand Mufti Abdel-Latif Derian wished stability, security and peace to prevail all over Lebanon and the region.

This as Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued later in the day a memorandum concerning the closure of public administrations, institutions and municipalities for the occasion of the Prophet's birthday (Eid Mawlid al-Nabawi) on Monday October 18, 2021.

The memo stipulated that according to decree number 15215 issued on 27/9/2005 and its amendments, which specifies official holidays, the public administration, institutions and municipalities shall close on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal 1439 H [Monday, 18/10/2021] to mark the Prophet's birthday.
