She also noted that she presented with Health Minister Abiad the challenges that the nursing profession is going through, and the need to address them quickly “before it is too late.”

She suggested launching an emergency workshop sponsored by the owners of hospitals and the concerned authorities to address dysfunctions of the system, and negotiate and agree on the required solutions. The Minister of Health expressed his readiness to answer this matter.
Kazan reiterated her previous demand to "allocate part of the funding that Lebanon is set to receive from the International Monetary Fund for the health sector, especially the nursing sector, as a priority over others, because what we lose in health cannot be compensated, and because people's lives and the health of society is a national priority.”

The Minister of Health expressed in his turn all understanding and stressed that he “supported the nursing profession and promised to exert all efforts to make the best of this very difficult situation.”
