Officials discuss launch of ration card program

The Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar held a meeting on Tuesday with head of the Central Inspection Bureau Judge George Attieh and Informatics officer Charbel Nehme, representatives of the World Bank Haneen Sayed and Khalil Dagher, as well as the IMPACT platform team headed by Carol Charabati.

During the meeting, the IMPACT team detailed the technical stages accompanying the launch of the ration card, and confirmed its readiness to start implementation.

For his part, the minister praised the qualitative and innovative work of the team in past two years, while Attieh stressed that “the ration card program will take into account the implementation of five principles of data governance that will be formed: transparency, social justice, privacy, data security and protection."
