No official holiday on Saturday, Ashura to be observed on Sunday

No official decree was made on the part of cabinet declaring Saturday as an official holiday for the observance of the Day of Ashura.

The Shi’te holiday will instead be held on Sunday to mark the 10th day of Muharram in the Islamic calendar and the climax of the Mourning of Muharram.
