Al-Chami from Baabda: Technical negotiations with IMF are almost done
Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh al-Chami said on Thursday that the technical negotiations with the International Monetary Fund are almost done.
 
“We have entered the stage of negotiations on monetary and economic policies in order to begin serious negotiations in earnest with the IMF team,” he added from the Baabda Presidential Palace after meeting President Michel Aoun.
 
Al-Chami noted that each minister is working on files within his jurisdiction, stressing that the government's plan would be announced as soon as it is completed.
 
“The plan requires the cabinet’s approval,” he added.
