Salam pays visit to US State Department, says gov determined to get Lebanon out of crisis
Economy Minister Amin Salam affirmed on Sunday that "the government is determined to get Lebanon out of its current crisis," stressing "the desire to strengthen relations with the Arab Gulf states and the United States and restore International confidence."

Salam’s comments were made during his official visit to Washington whereby he paid a visit to the US State Department, and met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Ethan Goldrich, Director of the Mashreq Office Steven Butler, Director of Financial Affairs and responsible for the Economics Office in the State Department Greg Schiffer, senior official in the Lebanon Office Sarah Saperstein, Administrative Assistant Carlos Dejuannam, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy Wael Hashem, and Secretary Sawsan Awad.

He also pointed out that "all efforts are currently focused on stopping the economic collapse, starting recovery, and stopping inflation."

Salam met with many ambassadors of influential and donor countries.
